Mike Ivankovich named 2004
Pennsylvania Auctioneer of the Year

Michael Ivankovich of Doylestown, PA was named 2004 Auctioneer of the Year by the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association at its annual statewide convention in Harrisburg. With more than 3000 licensed Auctioneers throughout Pennsylvania, being named Auctioneer of the Year by fellow Auctioneers is truly a once-in-a-lifetime honor.

Michael has been a licensed Auctioneer in Pennsylvania since 1996. Mr. Ivankovich's Auction specialty is Wallace Nutting Pictures, Books & Furniture, and a wide variety of Early 20th c. Prints (Maxfield Parrish, Bessie Pease Gutmann, R Atkinson Fox, etc), Early 20th c. Hand-Colored Photography (Fred Thompson, David Davidson, Charles Sawyer, and more.), and Early 20th c. Pastels (William Henry Chandler, etc.). He is probably better known nationally than locally and his Auctions are widely recognized as the national center of the Early 20th c. Hand-Colored Photography, Print & Pastel markets.

He has authored and published more than 10 books within his area of specialty. In addition to The Collectors Guide to Wallace Nutting Pictures and The Collectors Guide to Early 20th c Prints, his next book, The Collectors Guide to Wallace Nutting Furniture, is scheduled for a March 2004 release. He is also working on four additional books for Collector Books with new titles scheduled for release in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Michael writes a column titled Exploring Early 20th c Prints which currently appears in 12 national trade papers and auction publications. He is a frequent speaker within his area of expertise and has appeared on various television and radio programs as well.

Michael and his wife Susan (who is Vice President of The Michael Ivankovich Auction Company and who herself has co-authored 4 cookbooks, and presently designs web sites on the side) live in Doylestown PA. They have four children Nash DiMarco (Conshohocken, PA), Lindsey & husband Jake Hyde (Warrington, PA), Jenna Ivankovich (West Chester, PA), and Megan Ivankovich (serving with the Peace Corps in Mozambique, Africa), and two grandchildren (Jake & Kayla Hyde).
