to Auction #72
FRIDAY,
MAY 2nd: What could be better than the annual Wallace Nutting
Auction & Convention in Corning, New York
home of the
Corning Glass Works, the Rockwell Museum
and a short drive
from New York States Finger Lakes Region and the famous Finger
Lakes Wine Region. Doors open at 12:00 PM for the Auction preview.
The Auction will start promptly at 2:00 PM with the Discovery
Auction with Lots #1000-1073. The eBay Live portion of the Auction
will begin at 3:00 PM EST, beginning with Lot #1 and will continue
through Lot #493. We expect to finish the Auction by approximately
8:30 PM. The Club Hospitality Suite will open Friday evening and
will remain open until the last member leaves.
SATURDAY,
MAY 3rd: The 2008 Wallace Nutting Collectors Club Convention
will begin at 7:30 AM in the same room at Friday's Auction. Many
of the country's leading collectors and dealers will have tables
set up around the room and will be there to Buy, Sell, Trade and
Display Wallace Nutting Pictures, Books, Furniture, and Memorabilia.
The doors open at 7:30 AM, giving all Club Members fair access
to the merchandise being offered inside. Table space is available
to any member of the Wallace Nutting Collectors Club and can be
reserved by calling Jim Eckert at (309)-723-4241.
Following
the early morning Buying & Selling Session, the Club will
hold its brief annual Business Meeting, to be followed by educational
seminars. The afternoon is yours to tour the Finger Lakes Region,
visit the Corning Glass Works, the Rockwell Museum, or check out
the historic Market Street shopping district (the 2 Museums and
Market Street shopping are all located within walking distance
of the hotel!).
The
Wallace Nutting Weekend will wind down with the Annual Club Dinner
followed
by the Hospitality Suite. If you collect Wallace Nutting, you
won't want to miss this get-away weekend.

Extremely
rare #I-149 Wallace Nutting Table Top Candle Stand, with
double "Wallace Nutting Trade Mark" impressed
marking. This is the first such Wallace Nutting Ironwork
table top candle stand that we have seen. Also, very rare
#I-103 Wrought Iron Floor Candle stand having brass finial
and two brass candle holders, and with an impressed marking.
